IT WAS ME

"BENMİŞİM" was composed by Ayşe Ela Aktar as part of her studies in the Composition Department at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, School of Music and Performing Arts. The piece unfolds at a *moderato* tempo. Shaped by accompaniment figures in the left hand and harmonies carried by the right, the composition is enriched by a variety of dynamic levels—*p*, *mp*, *mf*, and *f*—and concludes by gradually fading away, as indicated by the term *morendo* in the final section. The work derives its title from the poem "Benmişim" by Özdemir Asaf; the themes and perspective presented in the poet’s work served as the inspiration for the title of this composition. A professional piano performance of the piece was recorded in a studio setting by AKTAR SOUNDWORKS and assigned a unique identifier under the international ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) system.
