SPANISH FEELING

This piece of music was composed for the documentary *Knight of Nature Born from Captivity: Don Quixote*, produced by İris Anka and directed by Mehmet Gün. The work is in the flamenco style—a genre synonymous with Spain, the homeland of Cervantes. The intention behind the piece is not to create a quintessential example of flamenco, but rather to illustrate how the genre is perceived, understood, and performed by the heirs of the Ottoman Empire—the "opposing" side in the historical conflict. The flamenco guitar parts in the piece were performed by Hasan Cihat Örter, one of Türkiye’s greatest living guitar virtuosos.
